New Delhi: John Abraham and Mrinal Thakur’s recent release film ‘Batla House’ has managed to make a strong presence in theaters for the second week. The film got a big benefit from the Sunday holiday of the past and it earned over 7 crores from the domestic box office. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Mission Mangal’ is making a splash in theaters despite its ‘Batla House’ retaining its hold.
According to the data of film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the total earnings of Batla House has reached 83.78 crores. It did a business of Rs 4.15 crore on the first day of the second week on Friday. Later on Saturday, it saw a further increase in its earnings and the film collected 6.58 crores from theaters. Now on Sunday, the film has done a strong business of Rs 7.21 crore.
‘Batla House’ did a business of Rs 64.84 crore in the first week (8 days). While the film has earned Rs 17.94 crore on the weekend of the second week. The film has come in the hit category with so much revenue.
In ‘Batla House’ John Abraham has been seen in the role of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who led the encounter in Batla House area of Jamia Nagar in New Delhi in 2008. The film has been released on 2750 screens at the box office.
